Where Does Your Turf Come From?

Our synthetic grass is manufactured in the USA. Southwest Greens is part of Shaw Industries (a Berkshire Hathaway company), and every blade of turf is produced and tufted in Shaw’s U.S. facilities. The advanced production lines use automation, Lean/Six Sigma quality controls, and in-house labs to hit the highest standards in the industy. When you schedule to install artificial turf with Southwest Greens, you can rest assured that you’re investing in American-made grass built to last.

American Manufacturing: We manufacture through Shaw’s facilities, including our Dalton, GA plant. Shaw’s technology investments ensure fiber uniformity and premium quality.

Vertical Quality Control: As part of Shaw, Southwest Greens manages every step of the supply chain. That lets us ensure even quality and color across every roll, rapid support for warranty concerns, and clear manufacturing traceability to resolve problems quickly.

Rigorously Tested: Before any turf reaches you, it’s proven in Shaw’s labs and fields. We test in a 13,000 sq. ft. indoor facility and 18,000 sq. ft. of outdoor test sites to mimic extended real-world conditions. Blades are tested for colorfastness, durability, and ball/athlete interactions, so your turf remains natural-looking and durable over time.

CUTTING-EDGE INNOVATION

We constantly improve our turf to be true-to-life and tough. Some of our latest breakthroughs include:

Bolt™ Fiber (High-Performance: The patented Bolt cross-section gives our turf its edge. It stands taller and springs back better than ordinary turf, surpassing conventional wear tests by 2x. Its unique shape and curved angles reduce shininess, giving the yard a true-grass sheen.

HydroChill® Cooling: We offer HydroChill® infill beads that can cool your turf by 30–50°F. This passive cooling system is perfect for warm-weather lawns and putting greens, keeping feet and paws comfortable even in summer’s heat.

Pet-Friendly Drainage: Our pet turf products are designed for rapid waste removal and odor resistance. Pets can play without ruining your yard. And how our artificial grass naturally sheds pet waste makes dead spots and odors a thing of the past.

Creaturf™ Personalization: Want your turf to match your brand, mascot, or personality? Our Creaturf™ program lets you add graphics, emblems, or colored elements. From custom logos on backyard putting greens to decorative pet turf, this capability lets you design without limits.

TAILORED TO YOU

We collaborate with clients, golf pros, and experts to ensure our artificial turf perform in real settings. Feedback from golfers inspired us to develop a realistic “spring green” color that integrates naturally with fairways. Little details like this have made our products the top choice by Detroit and all of Michigan pro players, homeowners, and landscape architects alike.

We also provide specialized solutions for every type of space — backyard putting greens, golf courses, pet areas, playgrounds, commercial lawns, game courts.

We take fake grass installation seriously. Done right, it’s a fine art. Our synthetic turf replicates real course playability. That’s why top players such as Jack Nicklaus and Annika Sörenstam recommend us. And because our connection to Shaw gives us unmatched flexibility, we can customize every layer of your turf.

LOOKING AHEAD: 2026 AND BEYOND

We never stop innovating at Southwest Greens. Watch for major turf releases in 2026! The Shaw Sport Turf shared that customers will help pick upcoming field designs and that a new “Game ON” turf model (made in Calhoun, GA) will roll out in 2026.

This playful spirit and technology will trickle down to landscaping products soon. We can’t give away every secret, but rest assured, our R&D team is hard at work on the next generation of artificial grass.

Future turf will combine science with customer-driven input, so your next Southwest Greens lawn or putting green will be better than ever.
